Look at these Oral Histories!:
Graphic Recording and Visual Data in Dance Research

Look at These Oral Histories!, a knowledge exchange between two dance historical research projects, It’s About Time: Dancing Black in Canada 1900-1970 and Now (IAT) and Visceral Histories, Visual Arguments: Dance-Based Approaches to Data (VHVA), will investigate how the complexities of oral histories and embodied dance knowledge can be best experienced by users online. Exploring methods of designing for deeper engagement with graphic recordings, this one-year project will reimagine how oral histories can be interpreted as graphic recordings, and, in turn, yield data that can be used for further engagement.

In collaboration with Adriana Contreras, Kate Elswit and Harmony Bench.
